Meet Them Where They Are.

One of the greatest lessons I have learned in life, Is the power of meeting people where they are. These days, It’s easy to write people off who don’t understand what we understand or who don’t speak the way we speak. But in this work, we cannot afford to leave people behind. So we must choose to meet people where they are.
Our political climate makes it difficult to come together. After all, it is nearly impossible to find common ground if we cannot even agree on a basic set of facts. But that is a conversation for another time (watch The Social Dilemma on Netflix)
Nevertheless, we live in a democracy - the greatest in the world. And it requires that we participate in healthy debate and engage in principled compromise. Is that easy? no. Is it worth it? every day.
The road to principled compromise isn't romantic or simple. It demands we hold truth close to our chest and use common ground communication...
